Pricing
We're still building this page out. In the meantime: RunOS is completely free today, unlimited nodes, unlimited clusters, no credit card needed.
Start freeProposed model 4
One flat fee per cluster.
$49 a month, per cluster. Doesn't matter if it has three nodes or three hundred. Add nodes for free, forever, the same way RunOS already works today.
This is a proposal under evaluation, not a live price. RunOS is $0 today: unlimited nodes, unlimited clusters, no credit card. Everything below is a worked example of what a future paid tier could look like.
The rate card
Two lines. That's the whole model.
First cluster
$49/mo
Flat. Unlimited nodes inside it, any mix of CPU, RAM, and disk. Adding a node never changes this number.
Each additional cluster
$49/mo
Same flat rate, same deal: unlimited nodes per cluster. Run five clusters, pay $245/month total, no matter their size.
Infrastructure is always separate, billed by your own provider (Hetzner, AWS, wherever), never marked up by RunOS.
Worked examples
Same cluster, three sizes, one cluster fee. Hardware priced on Hetzner, compared against the same specs on AWS.
| Cluster size | RunOS fee | Hardware (Hetzner) | Total | Same specs, AWS | Savings |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 nodes4 vCPU / 8GB each | $49 | $74 | $123/mo | $1,180/mo | 89.6% cheaper |
| 50 nodes8 vCPU / 16GB each | $49 | $750 | $799/mo | $11,800/mo | 93.2% cheaper |
| 100 nodes16 vCPU / 32GB each | $49 | $3,000 | $3,049/mo | $47,200/mo | 93.5% cheaper |
RunOS fee is $49/mo flat across all three rows. It's the only number in the table that doesn't move.
Grounded in
No competitor we looked at charges a pure flat fee per cluster, decoupled from size. This is the most novel model in the set we're evaluating, and we want to be upfront about that instead of implying it's an industry standard.
The closest relative is Qovery or Humanitec's flat per-tier pricing, except they gate the flat rate by seat count, how many people are on your team. This model gates it by cluster count instead. It's the same "one flat number, no usage meter" shape, just measuring a different thing.
