Pricing
We're still building this page out. In the meantime: RunOS is completely free today, unlimited nodes, unlimited clusters, no credit card needed.
Start freeProposed pricing model, not live today
A flat $15 per node, every month.
RunOS is free right now: unlimited nodes, unlimited clusters, no credit card. This page works out one possible future model under evaluation, a single flat platform fee per node, the same $15 whether that node is small or huge. It's a proposal, not a price you'll be charged today.
The rate card
One number, regardless of node size. Clusters stay unlimited either way.
| Node size (example) | vCPU / RAM | RunOS platform fee |
|---|---|---|
| Small | 4 vCPU / 8GB | $15 / node / month |
| Medium | 8 vCPU / 16GB | $15 / node / month |
| Large | 16 vCPU / 32GB | $15 / node / month |
Formula: RunOS fee = $15 x number of nodes. Unlimited clusters, unlimited services, unlimited deploy methods, none of that changes the bill.
Worked examples
Same $15/node fee at three cluster sizes, stacked against the Hetzner hardware bill and the equivalent AWS bill for the same cluster.
| Nodes | Node size | RunOS fee | Hardware (Hetzner) | Total (RunOS + Hetzner) | AWS equivalent | Savings vs AWS |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | 4 vCPU / 8GB | $150 | $74 | $224 | $1,180 | 81.0% cheaper |
| 50 | 8 vCPU / 16GB | $750 | $750 | $1,500 | $11,800 | 87.3% cheaper |
| 100 | 16 vCPU / 32GB | $1,500 | $3,000 | $4,500 | $47,200 | 90.5% cheaper |
The fee doesn't move with node size, so the bigger the node, the smaller a slice of the total bill it is. Go from 10 small nodes to 100 large ones and the relative savings against AWS actually improve, 81.0% cheaper at the small end, 90.5% cheaper at the large end, because the flat $15 gets diluted by a hardware bill that keeps growing while the fee doesn't.
